Day 90 and also Back On It Day 1
(though I don’t think my two-day relapse is enough to actually start counting over for…do you?)
Kept my schedule yesterday, except that my alarm on the core didn’t quite do it, and I got stuck with six hours. However, this can be construed as “walking back up the ladder you came down”, and tomorrow’s a work day so obviously my hope is that it’ll be back to perfect tonight.
(Funny: My mother-in-law saw me this morning, fresh out of the shower, and said: “You look kind of tired today…” –HA, yeah, now that I’m getting TOO MUCH sleep!)
Nothing much else to report at the moment. I hennaed my hair last night, which is becoming a time-honored “I need to stay awake” maneuver — I did it for the first time to get through my second day of Uberman. (The second day, as you may know, is just SO much worse than the first. Anybody can stay awake for ONE day.) My kitchen-pharmacist side approves of henna, because it’s non-toxic, doesn’t bleach or strip hair (is actually good for your hair, and can be done however often you please), is still relatively cheap and–the big one–fades out instead of growing out. My hair grows like crabgrass! If I had to re-dye it everytime it grew an inch, I’d have to live in a salon (and I hate salons). So yay henna. I use this stuff. Good company. Bit overenthusiastic, but what the hey, right? Love what you do.
And a quote to chew over:
“Acceptance without proof is the fundamental characteristic of Western religion, rejection without proof is the fundamental characteristic of Western science.”
- Gary Zukav
…Not sure if I agree with that myself, but it is pretty-sounding.
-PD
(P.S. “M” is my real first initial. So I realized the other day that all the stuff I was signing for people who knew me, whom I didn’t want to use my pseudonym on nor leave it off entirely, were getting this: M/PD. Yeah, oops!)
