Cheer up, Mang

Le sigh.  No, yesterday wasn’t a perfect day.  Darnit!  When you find rules that work, stick with them!  I broke almost all of them yesterday and slept in.  Not as badly as I have been before yesterday, but…Flargh.

So as I was driving to work I passed a campaign sign that I go by often, one of those three-color-wire-in-your-yard dealies.  This one’s for a guy/girl that I’ve never heard of named Mang.  That’s all it says:  MANG.

Yesterday my husband confessed to me that whenever he sees the sign he thinks it must be for a Mexican.  "A Mexican?" I wonder aloud.  "Yeah," he explains, "And all his friends are asking, ‘Joo running for office, Mang?’"

Now, that’s a horrid cheesy joke, but it made me think.  Poor Mang and I need to cheer up a little.  Both of us have it tough in our careers, and, if he/she is really Mexican, then both of us likely have no social life too.  So here’s a little cheering up…AT LEAST WE DIDN’T HAVE AN…
