Title? What title?

Gods, I love Futurama. Every two minutes I hear something I want to wear on a t-shirt.  For instance, "Formidable Doer of the Nasty". Would that not be a marvelous t-shirt? If I ever get the money, I think I’ll make some on GoodStorm (which rocks) and buy them myself, then take them down. Then I can have all my favorite sayings on my chest, for way less money than tattoos! Yaaay fair use! ;)

Also, my box of Frosted Shredded Wheat (one of my more insidious addictions) has a nice color back with the Preamble of the Constitution and a good upper-gradeschool description of the branches of government and how they (are supposed to) check and balance each other. This makes me inordinately happy. I think I’ll hang it up so that, you know, in a couple years my kid can make use of it. 

Stress is quite high over here at the moment. The cascade of missed naps and oversleeps has begun – it’s just like the cycle of being tired in the afternoon and unable to sleep at night, which often happened to me when I was monophasic. It felt like my "second wind" would kick in in the evening, and by bedtime I would be hitting that jittery phase, and if you chop that up into a few times a day, that’s basically what’s going on.

But…I still don’t feel monophasic. I still get tired for my daytime naps, even though the times are sometimes off, and if I oversleep at night, it’s by 2-3 hours, not five. So I’m treating it like any other stress-induced sleeping problem, and just trying to develop enough good habits to counter it. I did ditch the snoozeable alarm; now I’m setting up a non-snoozeable backup alarm, since the windup one I have only goes off for a minute, which is sometimes not enough to wake me up. So. Irritating, but not terrible.

Also, I’ve been pondering what it means to have talent. Is talent when someone picks something up and is immediately (or very quickly) good at it? Or is it simply the ability to do a thing well, regardless of how long it took you to learn?
