Eaten by a Grue
If I forgot to mention, I’m being EATEN BY SCHOOL until this weekend.
There’s a hundred things I want to write about…voting, foreclosures, singing, chi energy, and downloading movies, for starters. But it will all have to wait while I, you know, graduate.
There is that, at least — several days of Paper Hell means I’m done with school now, at least until I wedge my way into the hot-shit PhD program I’m after, and that could take a few years. And WOW, do I expect it to feel nice to be out of school for a while.
A sick thing? I’ve been thinking about it for two weeks, and I can’t figure out what to fill the 2-3 hours per evening of “free” time this will give me. At last count, there were about 7 hours of activities vying for the spot!
Oh, and for the curious, my schedule is wrecked. In addition to Hell Week at school, my husband came down with some evil summer virus, and I’ve been fighting it off myself (successfully! viva neti pot!) for a couple days, too. So my brain won’t let me sleep much during the day, and my body wants extra sleep, so once again I guess I find myself the walking paradox.
Anyway, back to it.

Hi, just wanted to let you know your blog has been quite helpful in trying to adapt to “Uberman”. I’m on my sixth “day” and haven’t overslept at all, It’s four in the morning and I’m not too tired, and I had a dream during one of my naps today. Hopefully this will last, as last night I somehow slept for 3 hours accidentally.
I also, have a question about falling asleep for naps. It takes me around five minutes, maybe a little more as far as I can tell, to fall asleep. Say you are on the verge of sleep and a loud noise brings you out of it (phone ringing, sirens), do you get up and reset your alarms, without knowing how long you have been lying there, or stay put, hoping you will fall asleep quickly?
