He’s Poly Too
Hehe, so, my boy is officially biphasic now — he’s sleeping 3-5 hours at night and another 2 in the early afternoon, and after two weeks of this he seems to like it. Today I watched him wake up in the morning perfectly alert, get [KID] off to school, go grocery shopping, start dinner, surf for a while, and then hit the sack, nice as you please.
Maybe the Universe is compensating for the wreck that my own sleeping/eating/everything has been lately. I get the feeling that the awesomeness I’m married to functions as compensation for my own failings quite a lot!
Everything moves in circles…

My wife also recently went polyphasic too - 2 naps a day and 4.5 hour core, with occasional 6 hour core. Although she is not yet fully adjusted, she is already feeling less tired throughout the day than she was before she started the schedule. Something about looking after 4 children (including home schooling the 2 oldest) seems to make one tired quite a lot! But now, she is sleeping a little less but is generally more awake.

Awesome! I’m doing more 4.5 and 6-hour days myself lately. It is great for getting a little extra time and energy without too much effort. ;)
(4 kids and 2 homeschooled…yikes! Now *that’s* an uber-schedule!)
Interesting sleep story.
