Hi Nick,

You're not the only person I know to be doing Everyman3 with a longer nap during the day. Sometimes I like a longer nap myself, usually if I'm feeling run-down or didn't sleep well for a nap somewhere. My longer nap, if I take one, is usually 1.5 hours, though.

I put the two monophasic options in because whenever I ask if people are monophasic, I get a lot of answers like "Yes, but it sucks" or "yes, but I never actually get enough sleep!". ...For many years, that would have been my answer too. And I think it's important to realize that not everyone sleeping a so-called eight hour night is happy with it, or getting enough rest on that schedule. Yes?

Thanks!

Have 3 hours from about 10-1, then a nap before starting work at 6AM and another straight after- about 12/1PM. Pre work is always 20 minutes, afternoon one is up to 1 hour, or 20 minutes if I'm busy. Started with 3+3 everyman for about 2 months and 'progressed' onto 5-6 months on the variation above.

Your option for problematic/ successful monophasic sleep is interesting. Can I ask why you put it in?

I voted "Other Everyman", which in my case has been for the last 2 years a nap during my lunch hour in the office, a nap after work and approximately 5 hours sleep at night, usually from 1- 6 am. That's a schedule I have arrived at naturally and although I initially feel better when I occasionally use less core sleep, I have never managed to establish less core time on a regular basis because I start to feel overwhelmed after 2 or 3 days and I don't seem to believe I can actually adjust by hanging on through the sleep dep...
