Internet, meet brain, fall in love
There you are! I’ve had a post-free couple days while a) my head settles into its new configuration (had to download some major updates; more below) and b) the Net was out at work (ack ack ack! not just because I’m a Net-lonely user, but because I’m the stupid techie that has to fix the stupid preventable problem ACK!). It’s been a Monday (+3, at least), but in mental terms I’ve survived it pretty darn well.
I am successfully enjoying how fun it is to have my brain the last few days. New configurations are always pretty awesome, and this one more than many.
To be brief and informal, I finally broke my brain in the right way to reveal the answer to some questions and dissatisfactions that have really been plaguing me, and it felt a lot like breaking a window in a forgotten cave. During the tail end of a hurricane. SO much dust and crap got blown around, and a good bit of it is just plain gone now. Everything has settled again, but there’s a ray of sunshine where there wasn’t, and all day yesterday and today I’ve been pausing to smell the air and smile at nothing.
You know, all the stuff that makes being the tortured philosopher-type worthwhile. \m/
Would that I could actually pass this feeling on to anybody (everybody!) else, but instead I’m forced to just say what it is I discovered, and hope that maybe it’s the whack that breaks somebody else’s “shell of Psychology” too. (It’s coming in this week’s post.)
(omg that last sentence could have been written in the 19th century. does that make me steampunk?)
Here’s hoping I can hold onto the new configuration, and for many more upgrades to come!
P.S. I am terribly behind on comments, and I apologize if you’ve left one and I haven’t gotten to it. This should be remedied in a few days. Sorry!

What a bodaciously beautiful bicycle!
Innit?? ;)
(I found it doing a search for “new configuration”, heh.)
