Defaults again
Come on and wade way out into the water with me
We're drownin' on dry land…
I love that little bit of phrasing, for so many reasons.

Tomorrow starts some big stuff. For the past few weeks, I've been putting together schedules and plans; mental, physical, and environmental. I've set up and am ready to start using Unfuck Your Habitat, Chains.cc, and YouNeedABudget.
I have brain- and body-healthy plans for every night after work, and good methods for planning stuff into the weekends as needed (and leaving downtime if that's needed, too).
I have the beginnings of sleep and food adjustments outlined, shopping done, lists made.
I do not have the wrong kinds of plans made — this was, in some ways, as hard as making the right kinds. (Yin planning, I suppose!) Parts of my brain definitely default to looking for things to do that I know aren't healthy; but the trick to those is to have healthy obligations instead, and leave no time for the icky, old, unconscious defaults.
I've had good successes with this so far; what I'm doing here is expanding on and formalizing those. I've been thinking for months how I could best use the autumn and early wintertime, and I'm pretty proud of what I've come up with, I must say. If it works, I should be in pretty spectacular shape, body and brain-wise, and get a ton done!
Adjust your defaults: Always one of my favorite methodologies. Take what you want to do and make it easy; and use it to overwrite areas where you'd naturally do what you don't want to.
Wish me luck — Tomorrow I wade way out into the water. ;)
